In celebration of the World Teachers’ Day 2020 amidst the ever-increasing role of teachers, SEAMEO organised a learning session with the intent of gathering experts who shall give a brief overview on teacher leadership through the following lens:

  • Classroom level leadership
  • School level leadership
  • Community level leadership

Joining the speakers will be a panel of lecturers who shall give practical tips and easy-to-replicate activities that teachers and school heads can follow to ensure that learning continues despite school lockdowns. Specifically, the learning session intends to:

  • Provide an overview on the evolving roles of teachers during school lockdowns
  • Discuss and present the different levels of leadership that teachers need to exhibit especially during these unprecedented times
  • Offer practical suggestions and recommendations on how to champion teacher leadership in the classroom, school and community 

The learning session hopes to respond to the following specific questions:

  • How did teachers respond to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 school lockdowns especially on their expanded roles in their classroom, school and community?
  • What strategies can teachers use in ensuring that no learner is left behind during the pandemic?
  • How can teachers transition and transform their current education strategies to online learning platforms and other alternative delivery modes?
  • What concrete and easy-to-replicate strategies may be utilized by educators during the pandemic?

In celebration of the World Teachers’ Day 2020 amidst the ever-increasing role of teachers, SEAMEO organised a learning session with the intent of gathering experts who shall give a brief overview on teacher leadership through the following lens:

  • Classroom level leadership
  • School level leadership
  • Community level leadership

Joining the speakers will be a panel of lecturers who shall give practical tips and easy-to-replicate activities that teachers and school heads can follow to ensure that learning continues despite school lockdowns. Specifically, the learning session intends to:

  • Provide an overview on the evolving roles of teachers during school lockdowns
  • Discuss and present the different levels of leadership that teachers need to exhibit especially during these unprecedented times
  • Offer practical suggestions and recommendations on how to champion teacher leadership in the classroom, school and community 

The learning session hopes to respond to the following specific questions:

  • How did teachers respond to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 school lockdowns especially on their expanded roles in their classroom, school and community?
  • What strategies can teachers use in ensuring that no learner is left behind during the pandemic?
  • How can teachers transition and transform their current education strategies to online learning platforms and other alternative delivery modes?
  • What concrete and easy-to-replicate strategies may be utilized by educators during the pandemic?
